About Trumpet Woolwear Nanna

Background

The Trumpet Woolwear story all started with an involuntary step into a cold stream. The fact that Nanna’s foot stayed warm which led to us not having to reboot the hour long process of getting the kids ready for a day in the wild got us into reading up on wool. Even though we had spent thousands of days on the mountains we knew next to nothing about the unbelievable capacity of wool. A quick survey revealed this to be the case with most of our friends.

Consequently, we took inventory of our base layers and realized that they consisted of wool blend at the best, and mostly synthetics. Clearly designed and manufactured with an obvious lack of love for the product. So we took it upon ourselves to create 100% wool base layers that are a pleasure to own and wear.
